The Origin of Taco Chic Salsa

It was 1918 during the Mexican Revolution that my great-grandfather, Emeterio Ortiz gathered his wife, Victoriana, and family along with two infant grand-daughters to flee their home in Michochan, Mexico.

Their mission was to escape the wrath of the Mexican government by migrating to the United States. It was Victoriana that made and shared this delicious salsa recipe with her family. My mother, Rafaela, was one of those infant grand-daughters in the arms of her mother on the right, that have kept this unique family salsa recipe vividly alive.

Taco Chic Salsa is dedicated with honor and respect to commemorate my family ancestry during those days of Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata, and Juana Gallo.

I hope you will enjoy this delicious recipe as much as my own family and friends have for many years!
